Points takes morning lead at FRYS.COM Open
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - D.A. Points posted six birdies and a lone bogey as he established the pace with an opening 5 under 65 during the morning wave of plat at the FRYS.COM Open. Points' score was good enough for a one-stroke lead over seven players including Stephen Ames, Pat Perez, Paul Goydos and Ricky Barnes. Rocco Mediate and Fred Couples were among eight other players another shot back including last week's winner in Las Vegas, Martin Laird.Players going out in the afternoon wave were being led early by Mike Weir, who opened with birdies at each of his first four holes.
